The above photo shows our great grandparents on my mother's side of the family. Our great grandfather was born on January 16, 1865 in Germany, and was named August Richert. Our great grandmother was born on August 18, 1867 in Germany and was named Julia Bittner. The two of them married in Germany on October 7, 1887. They had the following children:
