The above photo is the wedding picture for our mother's parents. This page is devoted to presenting photos of their family. Our grandfather was born on October 10, 1906 in Huron, Ohio. He was named Paul Bryant Smith. Our grandmother was born on July 11, 1908 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was named Edna Matilda Richert. In her 1927 high school yearbook for Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio, she was using the last name "Richard". My mother indicated that when the Richert family came to America, some of them apparently changed their last name to "Richard". Until I found the yearbook in my grandmother's belongings, I had always known the family name to be Richert. I am uncertain as to when the changes were made.
